This October we held our first annual Casino Night at the chapter house. Last Spring, one of our brothers was diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo treatment at AdventHealth in Orlando. Our chapter immediately looked for ways to support him, and when we landed on the Casino Night idea, we knew cancer research at AdventHealth was the benefactor we wanted to work with. We began planning the event over the summer, and ended with the plan to have a large casino night with a variety of casino games, a 50/50 raffle, silent auction, and other raffles. We set the goal at $65,000 and with the extremely successful event and the great support we received, we surpassed our goal with raising $69,000+. We couldn’t be happier with how the event turned out, but even more we couldn’t be more proud of our brother who endured a challenge more difficult than many of us could ever imagine. Thank you to those of you that donated to the silent auction, raffle, and crowd change link; we are very excited to hold the second Casino Night next Fall.
